Venice fun

With everyone posting pictures of their holidays I was reminded about a trip to Venice I went on with work that I did not blog about (bad me)

Below is a visual diary of our adventure staring Sorrel the squirrel (The work mascot who comes abroad with us)

In this picture heavy blog post you will see what working in events does to your sanity.

Excited for our first trip to Italy

Sorrel preparing for the journey

This is the view from our hotel suite  Simply amazing

Sorrel gazing into the city

The venue that we had our event in was beautiful

The evolution of the mobile phone

Just look at that ceiling of the main room

Sorrel and I deep in discussion

Sorrel working hard filming the event

We went just before Easter and these were there delights that filled the shop windows.

Once our event was finished we had a few days to ourselves to be true tourists and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Of course Sorrel came along and was with us during our dinners ( i did warn you about going crazy whilst working at an event)

Sorrel on the gondola

We got lost about 10000 times

Delirious laughter due to lack of sleep

The main man
Most of our time there we wondered around lost trying not to wonder into the water.  We tried to trace our steps by using the designer shops that lined the pebble streets as our breadcrumbs but as soon as the shops shut we were lost again.

Our navigational skills were probably not helped by our intoxication.

Sorell went a little wild

Unfortunately I did not manage to take pictures of the delicious food that we ate.  But I can only recommend any fish dish as I ate a lot when i was there and everything was perfectly cooked.

Even sorrel agreed.

Warner music party and work drinks outfit

One of my colleagues was leaving our work place so we all met up for a few goodbye drinks.  I was also going to the Warner Music Summer party so needed to find an outfit that was suitable for both.

We are still experiencing a summer heatwave so I got to wear this little white dress. It hardly ever gets an outings as we never really have a summer.

White dress Topshop (past season)

I also brought along with me a light cardigan out of habit really but it proved useful as this was the first night in ages that the temperature had dropped and there was a little breeze in the evening.  I added a simple waist belt to the dress. Both in my favorite maroon colour.

The Warner party was Shoreditch house and so I was unable to take any pictures.

But I did take a few from the drinks I went to beforehand.

I am still loving my braids!!!

Summer + sun + Live music = Wireless 2013

Last Saturday I put on my favourite playsuite in preparation for the hottest day of the year so far and a watching some of the biggest acts in music.

I was given my tickets from one of the artists so I was lucky enough to get VIP Wristbands  and I am so happy we had them the heat was unbearable and there was no shade near the main stage.

Sorry for the lack of pictures of all the acts my battery died on my mobile half way through and I only managed to get a few pics at the end.

Loving my new hair and the sun!
Only bit of  real grass at the car park
The Doritos Guys I love them they sang JT mirrors

The money shot Calvin Harris doing his thing on stage

more drinking it was very very hot day. My Elderflower fizz was my best friend at this point

Some person called Jay Z

All in all the day was great. I was so tired at the end there was no after partying from me. All that walking between the stages tired me out. Even getting in the artist minibus did not help.

The festival was held at the Olympic park Stratford. This was the first time it had moved from its original home of Hyde park. But due to residence complaint the Olympic park was given the festival.
Now as I have previously said I much prefer the West and I definitely do think that Hyde park was a better venue for the festival. location wise the Olympic park in Startford  felt a bit isolated and as soon as I got  there I renamed it the Olympic Car park.  I am probably being over critical but as an event organiser myself I cannot help but judge.  But once the acts got going that was all quickly forgotten

Sun in Summer!!!!

Here in London the unthinkable has finally happened we are experiencing an actual summer!! HEATWAVE!!!

Here are a few pics of my escapades around the beautiful city

Tower Bridge!! and City Hall
